8th class (5th lab test “Hacks Biscuits”)

For today’s class 24 March 2010 , each group must make and test their own product creation from the proposal that we handed up to lecturer before. And make a upgrade by changing or adding extra ingredient.


For our group, we are making biscuits that no people who done before that is hacks flavored biscuits. 

This time, we did not use manik but we still do egg wash for the dough. 


The ingredients for “hacks biscuits” are:

Hacks sweets 2 packets

Egg yolk 20 ml

Margarine 300 gm

Custard powder 200 gm

Baking powder 1 tsp

Coarse sugar 300 gm

Wheat flour 300 gm

Corn flour 200 gm


Procedure: 
Firstly, measure the ingredient to it exact amount.

Then, mix the margarine and sugar till the mixture well mix.(A brighter color of the mixture indicates the mixture are well mixed)

After that, add on the baking powder, custard powder, egg yolk and wheat flour into the mixture and continue mixing the dough. 

 While mixing the dough, preheat oven of 160C for 10 minutes.

After the dough is completely form, mix in the hacks sweets (blend it with blender before mixing it into the dough). Mix it well.

Before baking the dough, egg wash the dough.

Bake the dough till it turns golden brown and let it rest till its completely cool down.

By using a rolling pin before to flatten the dough and use a molder to mold shape of the biscuits. And also place in into a tray and bake it


 Place the tray into the oven.


The results that we get. Freshly baked hacks biscuits.

Conclusion:

Our biscuits now are crunchy and the taste hacks taste are also enough strong. We dint add manik because the appearance of the biscuits are not as nice as without it. We will rest for one week and we need to finish our biscuits for 200 ++ people by the following week.

7th class (4th lab test “Hacks Biscuits”)

For today’s 17 March 2010 class, each group must make and test their own product creation from the proposal that we handed up to lecturer before. And make a upgrade by changing or adding extra ingredient.


For our group, we are making biscuits that no people who done before that is hacks flavored biscuits. 

This time, we change to colorful manik for our decoration in our biscuits. 


The ingredients for “hacks biscuits” are:

Hacks sweets 2 packet

Egg yolk 20 ml

Margarine 300 gm

Custard powder 200 gm

Baking powder 1 tsp

Coarse sugar 300 gm

Wheat flour 300 gm

Manik (colorful) till sufficient

Corn flour 200 gm

Conclusion:

For today class,we added color manik instead of silver. Todays biscuits slightly soft and not as crunchy as before. We still have 1 more chance to improve the biscuits before the event starts.

Sixth class (3th lab test “Hacks Biscuits”)

For today’s 10 March 2010 class as usual, each group must make and test their own product creation from the proposal that we handed up to lecturer before.


For our group, as usual we are making the "Hacks Biscuits" but we upgrade it by adding manik on top of the biscuits

The ingredients for “hacks biscuits” are:

Hacks sweets (Extra) 2 packets

Egg yolk 20 gm

Margarine 300 gm

Custard powder 300 gm

Baking powder 1 tsp

Coarse sugar 300 gm

Wheat flour 300 gm

Manik (silver) till suffient

Corn flour 200 gm

Procedure:

Firstly, measure the ingredient to it exact amount.

Then, mix the margarine and sugar till the mixture well mix.(A brighter color of the mixture indicates the mixture are well mixed)

After that, add on the baking powder, custard powder,egg yolk and wheat flour into the mixture and continue mixing the dough.

After mixing well, Mold the dough by using this molder.


Start to put the dough into the tray and add some "Silver Manik" on top of the dough.


As usual, bake the biscuits till it is fully cook.

Conclusion:

Today we added "silver manik" on top of the biscuits, it turns out to be more better appearance than before. But todays cookies not as crunchy like before. We must do more improvements for the next class before the exhibition starts.

    Fith class (2nd lab test “Hacks Biscuits”)

     For today’s class as usual, each group must make and test their own product creation from the proposal that we handed up to lecturer before.

    For our group, as usual we are making the "Hacks Biscuits" but we upgrade it with adding more hacks sweets
    and also making for a bigger portion.




    The ingredients for “hacks biscuits” are:

    Hacks sweets (Extra) 2 packets

    Margarine 300 gm

    Baking powder 1 tsp

    Coarse sugar 300 gm

    Wheat flour 300 gm

    Conclusion:

    Our we doubled our amount because of high in demand and have a good feedbacks from the students nearby.But today we can see the texture of the biscuits slightly smooth and also more crunchy than before. The color of the biscuits are golden brown.

    Forth class (1st lab test “Hacks Biscuits”)


    For today’s class, each group must make and test their own product creation from the proposal that we handed up to lecturer before.


    For our group, we are making biscuits that no people who done before that is hacks flavored biscuits.


    The ingredients for “hacks biscuits” are:

    Hacks sweets

    Egg yolk

    Margarine

    Custard powder

    Baking powder

    Coarse sugar

    Wheat flour



    Procedure:  
    1. Firstly, measure the ingredient to it exact amount.
    2. Then, mix the margarine and sugar till the mixture well mix.(A brighter color of the mixture indicates the mixture are well mixed)
    3. After that, add on the baking powder, custard powder,egg yolk and wheat flour into the mixture and continue mixing the dough.  
    4.  While mixing the dough, preheat oven of 160C for 10 minutes.
    5. After the dough is completely form, mix in the hacks sweets(blend it with blender before mixing it into the dough). Mix it well. 
    6. Bake the dough till it turns golden brown and let it rest till its completely cool down.

    Meanwhile, blend the hacks sweets with a blender.


    Mix in the flour into the dough and mix it well and followed by the hacks sweets (blended).


     Molded the dough into this shape and bake it until the dough is cook.

    Conclusion:

    We managed to cook our product with quite successful. The results of the biscuits are crunchy and the hacks flavor are still mild. Need more improvements for the next class.
